Use the ingredients this way: Melt the butter in a pot over medium heat. Add flour and whisk for 2 minutes. Gradually add milk and cream while stirring, then bring to a boil. Peel and finely dice the garlic. Add garlic, salt, paprika, thyme, and nutmeg to the pot and let it simmer for 5 minutes over low heat. Peel the potatoes. Use the two-sided cutting/grating disc with the cutting side up in the food processor. Push the potatoes through on level 1. Then turn the disc over and grate the cheese on level 2. Grease a heatproof baking dish with butter. Add a layer of the cream-spice mixture. Add 1/3 of the potatoes. Pour sauce over the potatoes and sprinkle 1/3 of the cheese on top. Repeat for the next 2 layers. Do not sprinkle cheese on the last layer, but set it aside. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the oven for 1 hour. Remove the foil, sprinkle cheese on top and bake for another 15 minutes at 200°C until the surface is browned.
